Reminders:

Important Dates and Information in February:

Ice SkatingOur annual ice-skating field trip will be this Tuesday, February 3rd. We will leave Lincoln at 2:20. We should be at the rink by 2:35 and ice skate from 2:45-3:15. If you are available to help tie ice skates, that would be helpful! Mrs. Crawford's kindergarten class will be joining us! Please fill out this form for your child's ice skate size. Thank you for your help!

Spring ConferencesSpring conferences are held as needed. I have emailed parents to let them know if we need a conference. If you didn't receive an email and would like to schedule a conference, please email me, and we can find a time that works for you. Conferences will be on the half days Thursday & Friday, February 12th & 13th. All students are working on their student-led conference slides and goals and will present them. Students with no conference scheduled will present them at home to earn extra yards!

Kindness PartyOn Friday, February 13th, we will have our Kindness Party! It is a half-day. The party will be from 11:00-12:00. We will not require parent volunteers to come to the classroom. We will have light snacks, and if students want to participate in trading "Valentine" cards, the list of students is below. If you would like to send in a sweet or salty treat, that would be great! Here is the Class List. Thanks!

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays! For students who would like to celebrate birthdays in our class, please bring in non-food items, such as pencils instead of cupcakes. Sometimes parents assemble small gift bags. These are just ideas. There is no obligation to send anything!

Snacks in the Classroom

Please ensure that everyday snacks are quick and easy for your child to handle. For example, please refrain from yogurt, pudding, uncut fruit, Doritos, Takis, or messy items as daily snacks. This prevents spills from damaging school devices, furniture, and carpet. Often, we have to eat a quick snack while working. These snacks work better in the lunchroom. Thank you for your understanding.
