Hello Lincoln Families,

Report cards will be sent home on Friday! There may be an area(s) where your child still needs to meet the essential standard. The expected goal is to achieve the standards by the end of 4th grade with a "3".  Students receive extra practice and opportunities through small-group and individual interventions throughout the school year to help them achieve their goals. Once you receive the report card, please review it with your child, sign the envelope, and return it for yards!

March is Reading Month: Students will listen to Lincoln teacher-created read-alouds and read books selected for a March Madness competition. Later in March, they will vote on their favorites, culminating in one book that wins it all! Ask your child what books they like each week.

Field Trips: Please see the list below. Parent chaperones are needed for both trips, and anyone attending must complete the volunteer form listed below as well. Please ask Mrs. Kauffman in the office for this form. I hope this gives you enough notice to prepare. However, I don't need to know until we are closer to the trip date. Thanks!

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays! For students who would like to celebrate birthdays in our class, please bring in non-food items, such as pencils instead of cupcakes. Sometimes parents assemble small gift bags. These are just ideas. There is no obligation to send anything!

Snacks in the Classroom

Please ensure that everyday snacks are quick and easy for your child to handle. For example, please refrain from yogurt, pudding, uncut fruit, Doritos, Takis, or messy items as daily snacks. This prevents spills from damaging school devices, furniture, and carpet. Often, we have to eat a quick snack while working. These snacks work better in the lunchroom. Thank you for your understanding.
